Channeling Bernie #9

I have to confess I’m growing weary of people telling me Bernie is a one-issue candidate. These folks equate his stance on income inequality as somehow separate from his stance on the minimum wage, Social Security, eliminating college debt, early childhood education or income tax restructuring. The simple truth is they are ALL related, because if the wealthy have all the money, and the Republicans help them retain as much of it as possible, there won’t be any money available for any of Bernie’s other priorities. Ironic that the wealthiest (read Koch brothers!) are the chief proponents of starving government so it cannot function as a bulwark for its citizens against ignorance, hunger or poverty. Go Bernie, Go! And thank you!!

Much has been said (by me) about Hillary’s challenges in squaring off against Bernie. Let’s take a look at Bernie against the presumptive Republican nominee, Donald Trump, who polls suggest would more likely fall to Bernie than anyone else (Sorry, Hillary!). PLEASE PASS THIS ON, or SHARE, so that enough Democrats wake up in time to realize Bernie’s true potential.

“A Jew can’t win the White House!” the story goes. And certainly not a Jew who’s a Democratic Socialist. Or left-handed. Or a man in his 70’s. Or someone who regularly steps on sidewalk cracks. Or a man with a Brooklyn accent. Even if he actually speaks English!

If you’re still listening to Hillary supporters or political pundits who will give you half a dozen reasons why Bernie can’t win, just listen to what they’ll say once Bernie wins an early Democratic primary. They’ll be the ones to tell you “Bernie can’t lose!” then ask for a job on the campaign. Truth is Bernie could win and Bernie could lose. It all depends on two things: first getting Bernie’s message out, then getting his supporters to the polls.

And whatever you do, don’t stop believing!

He doesn’t have JFK’s charisma, LBJ’s country-boy charm or FDRS’s aristocratic airs, but Bernie Sanders has something they all lacked. Candor and humility. Which wouldn’t mean much if he didn’t also care mightily about his fellow man (and woman), or have the political insight to understand exactly what the moneyed class is inflicting on the fast-shrinking middle class. And what needs to be done to start the energy moving in the opposite direction. PLEASE SHARE this with all your friends BEFORE they slip into poverty.

This is what a grass roots campaign looks like! Individuals hearing the call of an honest man who speaks for those who can’t speak for themselves. This ad for Bernie Sanders, is one of a series of ads created by Bill Dahlgren and myself—Bernie’s version of a PAC! We don’t have millions to pump into TV ads, but we do have honest intentions and (we like to think) unbridled creativity. SO PLEASE SHARE THIS and the other ads to follow.
