THE AUDACITY OF AUDACITY

The Stealing Of The American Presidency 2016

hillThere was a movie late in James Cagney’s career called “Never Steal Anything Small.” I don’t remember the plot but the underlying message of the film was underscored in its title. These days I find myself marveling at the audacity it must take to steal something as huge and under such constant scrutiny as the Presidency of the United States.

That theft, of course, even though we are less than three months away from the general election, has already been planned and executed and only requires a few finishing touches on election day to actually put the Gonif (Yiddish for ‘thief’) into the White House next January. Because, if you know Hillary and Bill Clinton at all, you know they wouldn’t go to all the trouble of stealing the Democratic nomination in front of the entire country without having worked out the second half of the heist. Count on it, the concluding chapter of “The Theft of American Democracy 2016” is already in play.

Stealing the Democratic nomination was more than a singular act of political piracy, it was a practice run for the big event itself. And now they know IT WORKS! If they can steal the nomination from Bernie, they can easily steal the presidency from a dunce like Trump. The equipment is in place, the systems have been fine tuned, the accomplices have already proven their mettle, the news media has already shown it can ignore something as monumental as a coup d’etat without breaking a sweat; and none of our political, moral or religious leaders seem bothered enough to raise the issue from whatever platform they occupy.

Talk about a lazy, half-asleep, overfed, doped up and under-vigilant citizenry!

I guess we should just be thankful the Clintons didn’t also steal our shoes or wallets while they hijacked the Democratic nomination!

And speaking of the news media ignoring news…did anyone notice the adroitness with which Jake Tapper pulled the CNN cameras away from covering the massive delegate walkout at the Democratic Convention—real news that had accidentally been caught by CNN’s camera crew—to hastily switch back inside the convention where Boys II Men were singing oldies on the convention stage. Good work, Jake, you almost let a sliver of real news—news not authorized by the DNC or your corporate masters—escape to inform and educate your audience!

And who noticed that President Obama gave Hillary his endorsement while she was still under investigation by the FBI? Phew, that could have been embarrassing! Good thing the FBI finally concluded Hillary’s email imbroglio didn’t warrant an indictment. Otherwise, Obama might have looked foolish, if not complicit in her crimes.

I wonder if that was something Bill Clinton brought up in his 30-minute conversation with Attorney General Loretta Lynch? The conversation that would have been cloaked in secrecy had a reporter not seen Bill Cllnton going into the AG’s private plane on the airport tarmac in Phoenix?

The story gets more sordid the deeper you dig. But the audacity never diminishes. Yes, this is the Clinton Machine at its finest. Awash in dough, eyes on the prize, devoid of compunction or conscience, well staffed with sycophants, hirelings, henchmen; unstoppable with a complicit national political party and a DNC Chairwoman in its pocket. Not just “Stronger Together,” as Hillary’s latest theme announces, but also “CORRUPTER TOGETHER,” corrupting American Democracy, America’s Mainstream Media-ocrity, the upper echelons of the American government and an entire subsection of the American population to achieve its selfish, narcissistic ends.

Such is the state of democracy in the 21st Century!

Such is the audacity of audacity!

Battle For The Presidency. The Gonzo Versus The Gonif.

DonaldThe entire planet should take a deep breath and release a giant, communal “WTF!” Now, everyone standing should get down on their knees and pray to whatever God We Trust that neither of the two major party nominees make it to the Oval Office. If they do, brother, we are definitely fucked.

After six months of primaries and eight months of non-stop nonsense, hillarywe are left with two candidates for the highest office in the land…one who wrote “The Art of the Deal” and parades around the public stage like a narcissistic clown in a Fellini film, the other who perfected “The Art of the Steal” in running for her party’s nomination, the greatest theft in the history of American politics, if not also the clumsiest.

Someone else will have to explain Donald Trump to me. He’s so Gonzo it’s impossible to believe he’s gotten as far as he has running for the presidency—even as a Republican candidate! I watch him purposely walk into wall after wall, as if he’s blindly searching for a door that repeatedly shifts locations; and I don’t know what to make of him. Attacking war heroes; refusing to endorse his own party’s leaders; making inane statements; verbally assaulting women, blacks, Mexicans, reporters with disabilities, the parents of fallen soldiers—the man is totally unpredictable except for the fact he can be expected to say something crass, hateful, childish, sexist or stupid every time someone sticks a microphone in his face.

Is Trump deliberately trying to lose the election? He certainly acts as if he is. Has he made a deal with Hillary and Bill, who seriously know something themselves about making deals? A deal to screw up his campaign so badly the only people who vote for him would have to have suicidal tendencies?

As much as Donald J. mystifies me, I do understand Hillary. I call her The Gonif, or thief, in honor of her successful theft of the Democratic Nomination. I say ‘successful,’ but anyone with eyes and even the shortest attention span must have noticed the massive, blatant and heavy-handed irregularities—not to mention the accompanying stench—that rose like a black cloud across the country from the democratic primary process. Votes were stolen, voters were kept from voting booths, voting lists were purged, party registrations were mysteriously switched, ballots were thrown out or shredded, and all the exit polls showed wild discrepancies from the final results, all these abnormalities coincidentally favoring one candidate to the detriment of the other.

If all of this is news to you, you need to stop getting your news from CNN, NBC, The New York Times, The Boston Globe or any other member of the Mainstream Media-ocrity.

Hillary and Bill are all about two things: Power and Money, the former always leading to the latter. No sooner did Hillary step into her role as Secretary of State than the Clinton money-making apparatus shifted into high gear. No longer selling sleepovers in the Lincoln Room for $50K, they were in the big time now. Russia wanted to buy 20% of the world’s Uranium holdings? All they had to do for Hillary’s approval was pay $500,000 to have Bill fly over and speak at a Russian bank. (Don’t expect Russia to run out of radioactive fuel in the near future.) Saudi Arabia and Qatar wanted approvals to buy sophisticated American weaponry? All it took were multi-million dollar donations to the Clinton Piggy Bank, otherwise known as the Clinton Foundation. There’s more, lots more; so much more I run the risk of boring myself.

So here we stand on the cusp of an American presidential election that makes me feel like I ingested some bad acid. On one side a candidate so unbelievable he’s ideally suited to represent a party that spent the last 20 years denying reality. Any party that denies evolution, climate warming and Obama’s birthright deserves nothing less than a jackass for its presidential nominee.

On the other side, a woman who deserves a prison sentence rather than a four-year term in the White House.

The Gonzo versus The Gonif. I don’t know about you, but I’m voting for Jill Stein. A little less drama and a lot more integrity would be a good thing.

But then there’s also Canada…?

BRAND SUICIDE: The Destruction of the Democratic Brand in 2016

Can anyone seriously believe the theft of the Democratic nomination went unnoticed? That it was overlooked or deemed too trivial to be reported by the national press?

line 1How could you not see it? How could anyone avoid seeing it? The political landscape was littered with telltale signs with almost every primary. Wrongly switched party registrations. Purged voter lists. Flipped electronic votes, uncounted ballots, rigged state conventions, 5-hour voting lines and, most of all, the glaringly obvious discrepancies between election results and exit polls? Discrepancies shockingly higher than the deviation allowed when the U.N. monitors Third World elections.

Whether this is a conspiracy we’re witnessing or just a confluence of coincidental interests, the corporate media has blacked out any mention of the biggest news story of 2016, the massive rigging of the Democratic primaries.

As a reasonable human being, I maintain nobody could be that ignorant or blind, unless it was intentional. If the National Press didn’t see it, THEY DIDN’T WANT TO SEE IT! The election fraud was pervasive and obvious! We all knew the fix was in—we all saw it in living color, primary night after primary night, on our wide screen TVs. It was like a thumb poked in your eye, which doesn’t kill you but certainly catches your attention.

The theft was embarrassingly obvious, wasn’t it? I don’t have to convince you. You already know. We all know! Rational, politically-unaffiliated adults would have to agree the entire election process was corrupted by forces out to ensure Secretary Clinton became the Democratic nominee. Yet most Hillary supporters whistle into the sky and pretend their candidate won the nomination fair and square.
line2

Of course, the story is far from over, but we are nearing the final chapter for the Democratic brand as we once knew it. How self-defeating of the DNC to become an enemy to its own constituents, to suppress and steal their votes; all to benefit a woman so amoral she would steal the American presidency. And how blind not to see her deceitful behavior violated the very spirit and soul of the office she was seeking, possibly to achieve some selfish vision of American history. The Democratic Party was once proud and well-meaning. It was the party of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry Truman. The party of Kennedy, Johnson and Adlai Stevenson. A party of integrity.

But that was then.

line2Today, it’s become a party whose character, sadly, isn’t strong enough to resist the lure of Hillary and Bill Clinton or all that easy Citizens United money. The Democratic Party has sold its soul, its mission and, yes, its once proud brand down the river under the pungent lure of Power, Purse and Privilege.

The Democratic brand still stands of course, but it has been irrevocably changed, irrevocably sullied. Stained by the persistent recurrence of sacrificed values, sudden rightward directional shifts and abandoned constituents. This is now the Democratic Party of the wealthy and the privileged. Once it was the party of the middle class—the working stiffs, the little people, the immigrants, the elderly. Nobody interesting enough for the pages of People Magazine.
line2

The biggest reason why Berners won’t support Hillary, even with Donald Trump looming in the background, is that every Bernie supporter felt personally robbed or affronted when, in primary after primary, Democratic Party minions acted as agents for Hillary and obstructions to Bernie. They had their thumb on the scale and wouldn’t take it off.

So, faced with a choice of two evils, don’t be surprised if Bernie’s legions go somewhere else with their vote. Maybe to Jill Stein or Gary Johnson or, even, the Donald Himself. ANYONE BUT HER!

Once there was a Democratic brand that stood for America’s working class. A brand for the people. A brand for a party committed to ensuring the wealthy and powerful didn’t trample on the rights of the middle class. That party is now dead. And it died during Hillary’s torturous climb to the nomination.line 1

Of course the Party still pretends to care about the welfare of the people. But its brand seems more Republican every day. There is no apology for this new stance. They think nobody will notice or complain as they rake in all their new millions in contributions. Money not only from supporters, but from people and corporations they once eschewed: the Monsantos, the Comcasts, the Blankfeins, while they hungrily vie for a seat at the billionaire table. A party eager to be a force for its own sake rather than for the good of the American people; motivated to perpetuate itself, if only to keep the parasites fed.

This is the brand of today’s Democratic Party. This is the image emblazoned in the brains of 13 million people who watched stupefied as this election and the nomination were stolen from their candidate. 13 million people who will not easily forget in November those who so eagerly trampled their votes and their rights during the primaries. 13 million people who know they were robbed; know with absolute certainty their candidate was treated like a bum by a cabal of establishment forces that suppressed, killed or flipped so many of his hard earned votes.line2

This is the new brand of the Democratic Party.  Self-interested. Self-important. Self-justifying. Almost criminal in its commitment to its own survival and comforts. How appropriate that Hillary Clinton is poised to be their leader.

One could easily say they deserve each other.
