HOW TO SPOT A STOLEN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

(JOURNALISM 101, CIRCA 2020)

DEAR JOURNALISM STUDENT, you are entering the final phase of your journalism education. Up till now we’ve taught you the basics of investigative reporting, ie. tracking down leads, vetting your sources, verifying tips; but now, before you graduate, you need to learn some of the key signs that indicate the theft of a United States presidential election.

balloonsObviously, this lesson arises from the controversial events of 2016, when the entire American mainstream media failed to expose Hillary Clinton’s theft of the Democratic nomination. Historians have now come to agree Hillary’s race against Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination was a complete bag job facilitated by Bill and Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, a majority of state Democratic parties and dozens of party sycophants looking for government jobs. As to whether the mainstream media purposely ignored all signs of election fraud to ensure Hillary’s nomination or was just enveloped in an unexplainable fog of journalistic incompetence still remains a subject for debate.

The theft of the 2016 Democratic nomination was not pretty. It was so clumsy and ham-fisted it appeared to be executed by desperate clowns wearing party masks and balloon-sized gloves. There was no subtlety, no artful subterfuge, no attempt to smooth out the rougher edges. Vote tallies were hacked and changed in full view of TV cameras, so that millions watched as Bernie’s numbers climbed steadily to the bottom while Hillary’s totals rose to magical heights. Voting stations were eliminated, relocated or basically hidden, making it almost impossible for voters—especially Bernie voters—to actually find a place where they could vote. Other Bernie supporters had their party registrations mysteriously changed, their names purged from voter rolls, or were given provisional ballots that would never be counted. A few of the more hapless Berners were reportedly kidnapped or run over on their way to vote.

Given the blatant and pervasive nature of Hillary’s election fraud, it is surprising America’s top journalists weren’t able to expose Hillary’s brazen theft, by far the biggest news story of that year. But you can learn from their mistakes by watching diligently for these familiar signs of a stolen presidential election.

LESSON 1: LOOK FOR THE PLAN.Billary

It takes a well-constructed plan to steal a primary contest or a national election. And it takes people. People, ideally, who are part of a network—a network like the Democratic Party, which has 50 separate state parties and more than enough manpower to staff a full-scale assault on an American election. Prior to the 2016 primaries, we now know, Hillary’s campaign set up special relationships with 33 state Democratic parties. The program was named “The Hillary Victory Fund” and was basically a money-laundering scheme to allow Hillary to fundraise from donors who had already contributed the legal limit to her campaign.

LESSON 2: FOLLOW THE MONEY.

The Hillary Victory Fund was also a cheap way for Hillary to purchase the loyalty of local parties as well as a national network of conspirators to help steal the nomination. Millions in donations were promised to the local Democratic parties. Millions donated by Hillary’s maxed-out donors, but quickly vacuumed out of state party coffers and shipped back to Hillary’s campaign, all but a meager 1% of the swag which the state parties were allowed to keep. So it was, in fact, a cheap way to access the people Hillary would need for the theft of the nomination. People to transform a highly disliked candidate into the next President of the United States. People to eliminate voting stations in key districts; people to flip electronic votes; people to purge voters from voting lists; people to switch voters’ registered party affiliations; people to shred Bernie supporter ballots; people to arrange shortages of ballots at key voting stations; people to spread misinformation about voting dates and polling locations; people to troll the internet and raise havoc with pro-Bernie sites; people to infiltrate Bernie’s campaign apparatus.

And people to stand-in-place for the legions of Hillary supporters who consistently failed to show up at Hillary’s rallies.

LESSON 3: YOU CAN’T HAVE A CONSPIRACY WITHOUT P.O.P. (PLENTY OF PEOPLE)

With all the people involved in a conspiracy of this magnitude, and as clumsily as it was perpetrated, it’s striking that no inkling of the story ever leaked to the press, and that no individual vote-shifting hacker or dirty trickster left enough of a trail for a serious investigative reporter to follow. It was a perfect storm of criminal bravado, mass delusion and journalistic ineptitude.3

LESSON 4: WATCH ONLINE FOR TELLTALE SIGNS.

Today, four years later, it’s still shocking to think nobody in 2016’s national media had any idea of the wide-scale election fraud taking place across the primaries. Not even when videos and stories began to spread across the internet revealing clear evidence of vote tampering and voter suppression—Clinton caucus workers purposely miscounting Bernie delegates at the Iowa caucus; electronic vote tallies shifting dramatically, without explanation, in Hillary’s favor; elections being called for Hillary with only 1% of the vote counted; shredder trucks suspiciously parked behind polling stations.

As a journalist at the threshold of your career, you could easily fall prey to the same cloud of ignorance that descended upon the mainstream media in 2016. If an entire generation of reporters, broadcasters, and network anchors could overlook the theft of the 2016 Democratic nomination, there’s a good chance you could as well.

LESSON 5: TAKE NOTE OF CONSISTENT IRREGULARITIES.

The good news is that stealing a presidential election is a messy job; there are too many people doing too many things in too many places to keep it all quiet. If you’re a good reporter, you’ll instinctively know something is going on. You’ll smell it in the air. Your sources will feed you tips. Telltale signs will flash all around you, as they did in 2016. Irregularities will be spotted, inconsistencies seen. And then you, you fledgling journalist, all you have to do is WRITE UP THE F@#CKING STORY!

In 2016, nobody in the press thought of connecting the dots.

But you—as a young, enthusiastic and unsullied journalist—can do a better job if it happens again. A much better job.

A brain-dead monkey couldn’t do any worse.

LESSON 6: PAY ATTENTION TO THE EXIT POLLS.

In 2016, working under a mind-numbing fog of ignorance and professional incompetence, nobody in the national press thought to report on the exit polls which showed anywhere from 6% to 23% deviation from final election results in the various primaries. (In Third World Nations, a deviation of more than 2% is an indicator of election fraud.) Once again, not one reporter had the insight, initiative or journalistic integrity to report any of it in the mainstream press. Although a columnist in the New York Times actually wrote a piece to discredit exit poll discrepancies and explain their worrisome revelations, but that was before leaked DNC emails proved the exit polls knew what they were talking about.

In conclusion, dear journalism student, America’s proud tradition of journalistic excellence was greatly challenged in 2016 and found sadly lacking. As we later learned, it took more than a village to steal an election, and more than a clueless, lazy mainstream media to dig out the story.

Hillary’s Omaha rally. Note how they jammed people tightly together to give a sense of crowdedness to this anemic and ineffectual ‘crowd’ event.

REVIEW QUIZ

A. The Strongest Indicator of a Stolen Presidential Election is:

  1. The losing candidate’s rallies draw tens of thousands of enthusiastic supporters while the winning candidate can’t fill a high school gymnasium.

  3. The US Attorney General meets in secret with the husband of the winning candidate who is currently under FBI investigation.
  4. All of the above.

B. Standing in line at an Arizona voting station, how long should you wait before deciding your vote will be ignored, suppressed or flipped to the winning candidate?

1. Two days.

2. Wait, I can’t find my voting station!

3. This is a trick question since Arizona doesn’t allow its citizens to vote for whomever they want.

4. None of the above, except maybe “3.”

C. Why do you believe the American media totally blew it in 2016?

1. They were engulfed by a fog of confusion and incompetence.

2. They were part of nationwide conspiracy to crown Hillary Clinton president.

3. They made a wrong turn leaving Iowa.

4. Most journalism jobs had been taken over by illegal immigrants who couldn’t speak English.

5. Vladimir Putin frightened them off

6. How the hell should I know?

Bernie presented another story that the major media outlets all seemingly missed, and it was the one that all of the others pivoted around. He was a politician with over thirty years of holding office with no extravagant habits or spending patterns, and his wife was a professional educator with a successful career of her own. In spite of reaching near pinnacle levels of income within their respective fields, they failed to qualify for millionaire status, which is seen as a qualifier for the exclusive club of the Senate. No one in the media paid much attention to this glaring difference between one of the longest tenured Senators and his peers. If they had, they might have done some basic math and realized that even junior politicians appear to be in possession of a form of magic that allows them to accumulate levels of wealth several times what is mathematically possible on their salaries, and with little to no additional income.

The fact that his opponent appeared to be the most proficient practitioner of this magic art of income multiplication should have sent reporters and pundits scurrying for sources of tax returns and income declarations to show his obvious deficiency in this ability. Perhaps he skipped the Conjuring Money 101 course to attend silly sit ins and demonstrations benefiting the unwashed masses, but he clearly couldn’t be relied upon to perform the needed spells and dark arts to revive an economy when he couldn’t even achieve the threshold of millionaire for himself over such a long career. It’s of little wonder that his fellow politicians and political insiders shunned him for the master of the guild.

Dirty politics? You bet. Bad journalism? Worse than ever. Is Hillary a demon? Not by comparison. Is Bernie a saint? Only by comparison. Did he deserve to have won the nomination? My progressive pov supports his, but my realistic side questions his ability to perform the role of President. Is Trump a better choice than either? Oh boy, oh boy. NO. Is he an outright lier, manipulator of the desperate and the uber-wealthy, dufus performer, and a visceral, clueless embarrassment to the United States of America. No doubt about it.

Bottom line. I’m all for exposing wrong-doing, but by highlighting Hillary & Co’s questionable or negative political actions at this juncture, are you not advocating for Trump? Mustn’t we weigh the bad against the worst and get behind the lesser of two evils? (That would be Hillary and the Democratic Party!)

C’mon, Paul – let’s hear it for Hillary – she’s made big mistakes, but she’s done big good. Trump has done nothing good. He IS a big mistake.

      Hi Kat:

Finally saw that your message made it through. To reply to what you said, I don’t believe it’s time to get behind or forgive Hillary. What she did was unforgivable (and this is no longer me speaking as an avid Berner, but as an embattled patriot). Hillary basically mounted a coup d’etat. I suppose she’ll have to beat Trump in the general election for it to be a genuine ‘d’etat’, but she decided she wanted to be president and the price the rest of us would have to pay for that privilege would be her trampling on the will of the people, which to me is a knife thrust in the breast of democracy. If you believe as I do, that Hillary committed massive election fraud to ensure herself the nomination, then how could you ever support or vote for someone who stole the presidency, and in doing so took a giant shit on everyone who voted, or tried to vote, for Bernie?

I don’t want her in the White House; I want her in jail.

I won’t argue about how scary Trump is. My solution to the Trump problem is Jill Stein and the Green party. In addition to my need to deny a criminal the fruits of her crime, voting for Jill Stein is a step towards breaking free of the two party grip on our electoral process. Jill may win this year, but if we can help the Green Party emerge from the shadows that would be a fair exchange for whatever happens between the Thief and the Madman in the general election. I would also have to point out Massachusetts is not a state in the balance or at risk, and my vote will help Jill far more than it will help Trump. As for Hillary, she’s dead to me. I think she is totally dishonest, militaristic and without a genuine core set of values.Having her at the helm is just as scary as living through a Trump administration. But at least with Trump, I think he will shoot himself in the foot so often he’ll never be able to get anything through Congress.

Sorry I can’t agree with you about the need to quiet down about Hillary’s negatives, but the truth is I’m getting damn tired of the whole thing. The press thing has got me almost as outraged as the theft itself. This is the institution we foolishly rely on to serve as a watchdog of our rights and interests. And they totally conspired with Hillary and the DNC to kill Bernie and kill anything that might suggest Hillary was stealing the election. I have never before seen such shoddy reporting, or abject toadying to the DNC and the Clinton campaign. It was sickening. If it wasn’t for the internet we would get absolutely NO unvarnished news; everything would be sprinkled with whatever issues are on the agendas of their corporate masters. I was listening to a news report on the radio earlier today and the news person reported on the clash between private security forces and Native American protesters
at the ND pipeline site. The report neglected to mention that the security people used attack dogs on the protesters. Attack dogs, and the police did nothing about it. Now who decided to leave out such an important detail, and whose PR efforts were they supporting by not mentioning the Nazi-style police tactics?

By the way, Jill Stein went out to North Dakota to support the protesters. Hillary is probably on the side of her donors, in this one.

If I wasn’t 70 years old and desirous of living near my children and grandkids I’d seriously think about leaving this country.

      Hope you’re well, Kat.

      Warmly,

      Paul

You don’t think that Hillary, The Corrupt DNC and the Main Steam Media did anything wrong as they colluded to throw Senator Sanders and his Campaign under the bus? I know shes a women and deserves our vote, well Jill Stein is a Lady and as for me and my family we will be Berning Green this Election! You nailed it. Excellent…just excellent.
I will NEVER look at our media or the “democratic” party in the same way.
You don’t get a pass on Election Fraud.
Not even the threat of a trump presidency can scare me into voting for a party that just literally spat on our democracy and on their own members.
My only response is to go Green and try for real representation in my government.

On the mark once again! A “candidate” who cheats her way to the top in federal crimes of election fraud, vote rigging, ballot tampering, and voter suppression while colluding with the media to distort, omit, massage, manipulate, and manufacture “facts” is nothing but a Machiavellian psychopath who should be totally shunned and removed from society. This is the kind of “campaigning” we expect from the likes of Ted Cruz — or a banana republic tinpot dictator in some backwater place. Considering the totally unacceptable nonchoices offered by the Establishment — either a blatant criminal with no conscience and an agenda of permanent ongoing mass murder and plunder for profit, or a totally media-created bumbling amateur fake cardboard loose-cannon “candidate” fronting for the Establishment, I will again be voting for Jill Stein (as I did in 2012)

Every election is ultimately about integrity. Platforms are no more than eyewash if the candidates have no integrity. We had three candidates with integrity: Bernie, Jill, and Gary. Now we’re down to two. I control only my vote, and I must vote my conscience! My conscience will not consent to my choosing the lesser of these two great evils: HC or DT. I seriously wonder whether our republic can survive the Democrats’ theft of the primary, use of long-time Clinton supporter Trump to wreck the Republican Party, and blatant collusion with the Justice Department and the FBI to subvert the rule of law.The only hope we have of avoiding collapse of our government is to individually and corporately place truth above party loyalty and greed for power. this means double-checking “news” sources wherever possible, and not going off half-cocked when we read an Internet post that excites of angers us! It means writing a lot of letters and signing a lot of petitions. And it means voting our consciences!

Well said, Richard. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights.I’m very hopeful because the first thing that needed to happen for us to initiate change was…we had to wake up to the reality of things. Such as, the media being a powerful tool of the oligarchy, which intends on limiting us to two choices, one of them being their chosen candidate who happens to be so unpopular and untrustworthy she might actually lose to the other, an orange-haired billionaire buffoon. No surprise with any of it. We warned she would prove a very weak candidate for multiple reasons, not the least of which was the ongoing parade of Clinton scandals that get lifted up before the public on a regular basis.

NOT ALL DEMOCRATS AGREE WITH HILLARY.

ELECTION 2016 JOKE OF THE DAY. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton walk into a bar. Scratch that. Donald Trump doesn’t drink and Hillary Clinton doesn’t walk.

IS HILLARY WHO YOU WANT TO CALL AT 3 AM?

NOTICE TO ALL JOURNALISTS – I KNOW WHO YOU ARE BUT I AM CONFUSED WHY YOU ARE NOT BEING MORE PROACTIVE TO STOP A HILLARY PRESIDENCY.

Some of you are Hillary supporters. I get that. I do not understand it but I accept it. Others enjoy the game and do not really care about the direction of the country. I feel sorry for this bunch. And there are those who are passionate about this great country. Why are you being so silent?

Exposing Hillary’s shortcomings will not change anything unless voters are exposed to a better alternative.

For good reason a lot of people are not warmly embracing Donald Trump. Also, third party candidates have historically not succeeded for a number of reasons. This year is no different.

Give an alternative candidate some legitimacy and voters will flock. Right now a lot of people are running for the hills away from Hillary and Donald. You have the power to bring them back. You have the power of the pen. So much stronger then the power of the dollar.

We already know the evils of Hillary.

This could be the year of an average citizen getting a chance.

This is a great take, but I do not believe for a second that the media was not complicit. it would have been the story of the decade if anyone big enough in the media had had the guts to go against the will of their corporate overlords. Of course, they would have been out of a job the next day and they knew it. I no longer believe a word of the so-called mainstream media’s reporting without verifying. I also can NEVER vote for an election rigging 1%er. I also have no worries at all of there being a Trump presidency. Trump is not a real candidate and does not want to the job. The job is hard and doesn’t pay well. All Trump has ever cared about is money and how large people think his penis is. Becoming president isn’t part of his plan. He just wants to raise his pay for the next season of “The Apprentice” or whatever bullshit scam is next. If you think you HAVE to vote for Hill to save us from Trump, you’ve been fooled, just as you were meant to. Thank you for the entertaining and concise piece.

Wow, how wonderfully you skewered the perps. Almost all of my friends have slid through the slime to be “for Hillary”. It sickens me. We were raised to be about good and evil, raised kids the same, but let in a little fear, and the difference between good and evil are no biggie. The thing I think about is that Trump is a total unknown, but we know all about what Hillary is capable of and what she has done. She is the scarier of the two.
So, everyone talks about Jill not having a chance. There are so many really disappointed Bernie people, so many independents, and then the Repubs who don’t like Trump at all, she really should have a great chance. Is the polling wrong, like some have her at 1% abd 5% which sounds crazy, since she is the logical heir apparent to Bernie? I am torn between leaving the US and staying to fight.

Sharon: I believe you’re correct about the complexion of today’s world, and the graying of moral boundaries. The world is no longer a place that allows innocence to live untroubled. America’s modern-day presidents were mostly inferior people, spiritually and morally, with the exception of Jimmy Carter, and bad role models for the country, especially since the explosion of communications and technology have created more awareness of what these sorrowful role models are doing. I also believe our leaders starting in the 50’s were understandably stunned by the depths to which evil and depravity existed in Nazi Germany, so much so that they over-compensated in preparing to fight WWW3 with the Soviets. When you deal in terms of the survival of the western world, you might lose your grip on making morally-correct decisions, or more quickly accept sub-standard behavior from yourself and everyone around you.

I also agree that Hillary is scarier than Trump because we already know she has no moral compass or limits on her greed or sense of entitlement.

As for Jill’s poll numbers, once again you can’t trust anything fed to you by the mainstream media-ocrity.CNN’s most recent poll was absolutely meaningless since they didn’t include a single subject between 18 and 35. Unbelievable but true. The media doesn’t want a three- or four-way race. They see the presidential sweepstakes as strictly a two-party gala event, and don’t take kindly to anyone who tries to interfere, especially third-party candidates. The real tragedy in the media’s biased polling is that it allows little room for Jill or Gary Johnson to gain any momentum. Jill would probably move up dramatically in polling numbers in an honest poll, but we’ll never hear that from the MM. Well fuck them, I’m still giving Jill my vote. I like to think of Jill as the ANTI-HILLARY, OR THE JILLARY.

“Is the polling wrong, like some have her at 1% abd 5% which sounds crazy, since she is the logical heir apparent to Bernie? ”

When Bernie endorsed Her Heinous Jill’s fundraising saw a 3X jump overnight, but her poll numbers didn’t reflect but very little bump. Knowing how complicit the media was in the primary process I don’t believe her numbers are that low either. This rings especially true for anyone who followed Bernie’s supporters on Twitter and Facebook after the convention, as they appear to be voting for Jill at a rate somewhere around 70%. Once we acknowledge conspiracy in the primary it would be illogical to rule out such in the general election, so my devious brain kicked into overdrive to root out what benefit to Hillary is gained by under reporting her polling so drastically.

Beyond the obvious of promoting the “she can’t win” narrative that also feeds the “but Trump” narrative there exists a potential strategy of vote fraud that could fly under the radar. With Trump vowing to have poll watchers in place in swing states it would be ill advised to rig any machines or processes to steal votes from him. However, the theft of large numbers of Jill’s votes would go all but unnoticed, especially if she performed slightly better than her pre-election polling, perhaps even gaining the 5% threshold. I believe that it would be possible to alter up to half of Jill’s actual votes and still see her perform at this level, which would easily put Hillary over the top against Trump in a race where they are so narrowly divided.
